Happy Thursday everyone! What a beautiful day it is, + what better time than to introduce Katie, one of the very first coordinators here with At Last! Katie has an extensive background working events + knows how to handle anything that is thrown her way. Dedicated to ensuring everything goes as planned, but also knowing how to go with the flow, Katie is a key member to the At Last team + we wouldn't have it any other way!
Who else loves Katie?
How did you get started in the wedding planning industry?
I was a student at UCF studying Event Management. All students must meet internship requirements, and when I saw there was an opportunity in the wedding industry with At Last, I was so excited! I still remember having my first interview with Jaclyn. We bonded over both being in the Event Management program + in sororities.
If you could change one thing when planning your wedding, what would it be?
As a wedding planner, I was very mindful of the vendors + making sure things were good for them! I had amazing vendors + everything was great, but there were a few times I should have relaxed + been more in the moment- enjoying being the bride- vs worrying if we were helping keep the vendors on track + making their jobs easy!
Any advice for our couples?
Don't forget to speak up + share what you want out of your day! Do the things that will make you the happiest- not what you think your wedding day should look like. Also, just let the details go + have fun once the actual wedding rolls around. Soak it all up because it goes so fast- we are here to worry about all of the details for you!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
My fun fact is that people say my dog reminds them of me and I'm ok with that. I think she's cute!
Beach or mountains and why?
Mountains! The beach is so accessible to us, so the mountains feel more special and like a true getaway!
