Hi everyone! As we start to hop into busy season for weddings, it's always nice to discuss some common questions our couples have when planning their wedding: to have favors or not!
While we want to make sure appreciation is shown to our guests for attending, oftentimes a lot of money, time + effort is put into these thoughtful gifts for them to unfortunately be left behind. If favors are important to you + your soon-to-be-spouse, we say go for it! If not, it's a great way to save a couple hundred bucks or allocate those funds elsewhere.

One thing we know for sure, all guests love something to snack on! Cookies with the names of the newlyweds, a treat from the restaurant you went to on your first date, or even a hangover kit loaded with electrolyte water, advil + comfort snacks are all great ideas. No matter what, if its edible, we know they are going to be a hit!
Are you planning a wedding where you have many guests traveling from afar? A welcome bag placed into their hotel room upon check-in would serve as a great start to the celebration while also doubling as a favor too!
Is your wedding themed? That's a perfect way to have a favor double as decoration (like these Golden Snitch favors made out of Ferrero Rocher chocolates for a Harry Potter wedding Bri organized a few years back!) Not that creative? No worries! Just load up a table with a bunch of desserts + doggie bags + let your friends take some sweets for the road.

Recently, there have been some really fun wedding trends that act in place of favors, but also double as entertainment, such as a cigar bar or a caricature artist sketching pictures of your guests to take home. Are you crafty? We have even had some couples make their own favors, like these wooden spoons pictured below made by the Groom himself or DIY can coolers!

To ensure the favors are seen by all, make sure to have them displayed appropriately. Our favorite options for displaying favors is either at each place setting or placed upon display near the welcome table. This not only ensures that guests will find them easily but will also be the most visited places throughout the night + give your family + friends a constant reminder not to forget their gift before departing for the evening. Remember, a little signage goes a long way!
