Sweet Engagement Session | Jessica + Jon

Oh, happy day! We're excited to share this super pretty engagement session with all of you today not only because the photos are so very *beautiful* but because we're sharing a bit of wedding planning insight. Jessica answered a few fun questions to give us a small glimpse into how their big day will be aaaaamazing + to be honest, it just gets us even more excited!

How did you two meet?

Jon and I met our senior year of high school in Tampa, Florida. We started dating in December of 2009 and have been together ever since! After 6 years of long distance while attending universities in different states we have now happily made our home together in Jacksonville.

What is the theme/style/colors of your wedding?

Our style is southern elegance and our colors are dusty blue, dusk purple, dusty rose and sage green. We are having an outdoor ceremony at the Estate on the Halifax followed by an indoor reception in their beautiful Tavern!

Any special traditions or fun details in the wedding?

Jon's family is from Pittsburgh so we will be incorporating some fun traditions from their side such as Pittsburgh cookie tables and doing the bridal dance. We will have a huge tables filled with all different types of cookies made by our family and loved ones, as well as the traditional wedding cake.

What has been your favorite part of wedding planning?

My favorite part of planning so far has been utilizing all of the fun things I've saved on Pinterest over the years and getting to really make them come to life. By the time we get married we will have been together for over 8 years so we have been unofficially planning this for a while :p I am also most excited for the actual moment in the ceremony where we are finally announced as Mr. and Mrs. White. I've been dreaming of this moment for years and I can't wait to share that special day with all of our loved ones.

Are you honeymooning? Where to?

We are going on a cruise to St. Maarten and St. Thomas on the Oasis of the Seas for 7 days! We have always wanted to go on a cruise together so we can't wait to sail off into the sunset for a few days!
