Goofy + Sweet Engagement Session | Jamie + Sarah

I'm so happy to share Jamie + Sarah's engagement with everyone today! These two definitely know how to have a good time + it shows in their photos together. Their infectious smiles get us all sorts of excited for their special day coming up this August at the Tavares Pavilion on the Lake but until then, enjoy the pretty photos from the fantastic Live Happy Studio + learn a bit more about these two!

How did you two meet?
We met on Sarah’s first week working at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  She worked third shift, and would stop into my office in the morning, which was the end of her day.  We became fast friends, bonding over shared interests like Harry Potter and running. Our friendship grew when I left Animal Kingdom for a new position and we had to make actual plans to see each other. We even traveled as friends for a few race weekends.  We knew each other almost 18 months before we started dating. Most people fall in love and eventually end up best friends.  We were lucky enough to fall in love with our best friend.

What is the theme/style/colors of the wedding?
Our venue has a bit of a British Colonial feel, with dark wood and exposed beams, so we decided to add muted tropical touches.  Our bridal party will be in pale yellow, and we plan to use pineapples in the centerpieces and décor.

Are you honeymooning? Where to?
We're taking an Alaska cruise that leaves out of Seattle, and adding an extra day in that city since we've never been. Sarah's birthday is during the cruise, and she picked that day's shore excursion -- taking a helicopter to a glacier and go dog sledding. It will definitely be an adventure!

What has been your favorite part of wedding planning, so far?
Finding a venue that we both loved, where we could actually envision getting married, was a huge relief and really got the ball rolling with every other decision we’ve made.  Our engagement photo shoot was also a lot of fun.  We brought silly props, danced in a fountain, and basically laughed for an hour straight!
