A Wedding Planner's Wedding Plans: Post #3

Less than 10 months! The count down is on! Corey + I have gotten a lot done for our wedding since my last post. We finally have our DJ! I’m so excited to have Darrin from Fun Factory Entertainment at our wedding. He was my original pick but wasn’t available when we first began our search. Darrin will also be providing our wedding day rentals (chairs, chargers, etc.) through his company Orlando Wedding + Party Rentals.

We recently received all of our engagement photos from Sarah Bray Photography! Sarah did an AMAZING job- see the recent blog post HERE! Our pictures are everything we could have asked for + more. I mentioned in my previous post that Corey + I would be taking our engagement photos in Oakland. After Sarah went to scoop out the location she let me know that she wasn’t impressed with the backdrops we’d be working with there and suggested we change our setting. We ended up using two locations: Leu Gardens + Cypress Grove Park, + I’m so glad we did! We have the perfect southern vintage photos that I dreamed of.
We recently did a lot of what I consider “the fun stuff”, like purchasing my wedding dress! My mom + I live four hours away from each other so whenever we’re together we take full advantage of doing some wedding planning. When I went to visit over Christmas we did some wedding dress shopping + I fell in love with the most amazing dress. This was the second time we looked at dresses + nothing I’d seen before compared to the dress I ended up buying. I can’t wait to wear it!
Corey + I also booked our honeymoon (more “fun stuff”)! We are leaving the day after our wedding on a seven-day cruise on the Norwegian Jewel! The cruise goes to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Caymans, and Mexico. I think I might be more excited for the honeymoon than the wedding! It was great for us to book this early because now we can make a payment towards our honeymoon each month rather than having one large bill all at once.
Next step in our planning process will be booking our transportation. We want a vintage Rolls Royce to pick us up from our wedding after we do our exit. There is only a limited amount of the type of car we want so I want to secure it before its too late, especially since our wedding is during such a busy wedding month.
Until next time...
