Where did you two meet?
We met in Tallahassee through a mutual friend while attending Florida State University. Though we knew each other for about two years, we did not start dating until after we graduated and moved to different cities. We spent the first 2 1/2 years of our relationship dating long distance.

Where did he propose?
I should start off by saying I (Wendy) am the hardest person to surprise. If one thing is off or suspicious I immediately question it. A week before he proposed, we planned a trip to the beach. I let him plan the details and pack for it, which I never do, because I had a hard week of work. He did forget to pack a big towel to sit on and the grapes, which was a part of the picnic he planned. I teased him about it on the drive out to the beach. When we got to the beach, we sat down in a quiet secluded area and had a nice picnic overlooking the water. Once we finished eating, he asked me to sit up and started saying some amazing things about me and our relationship. I still had no idea what was about to happen. He asked me to close my eyes and when I did, he reached in the bag and pulled out the ring. When I opened my eyes he asked me to marry him. I was in shock, but immediately said yes. Unfortunately, he did not hear me right away and sat there waiting for a response. It was the perfect proposal because if he had tried to do anything more, I would have suspected it.
